I drove to Nashville and traded this Craftsman 10hp rear engine mower for the 1256, mower deck and partial tiller.

My intention once it was home was to get some good rubber on it and park it out back till spring to start work on it. Well I was layed of in late October and decided with the free time I would go ahead with the project.
First up new rubber on newly painted rims. As you can see it was listing to one side, the fronts held no air and none of the tires matched.

Removed the tires and got to work. New carlise grass masters donated by Previous employer. They didn't fit any equipment he had.

wrong color

The one on the right is the original. I used rustoleum sunrise red at first then swithched to rustoleum farm equipment international red. That was a perfect match.
This has been a slow process with looking for a job and winter setting in. Thats all for now I will continue the saga as time permits.
