Are the handles on this early Gardener like the ones on the DQ? I can't really tell from the pictures. It looks to have the cast rims.

yea same style handle bars an has the older style tag as well I believe it's a model b6 bolens it doesn't actually say gardener on the gas tank like the newer ones

When you get the Gardener  can you give me some better pictures of the grass divider on that Unisickle?

The one for my power ho is missing and was going to make one out of sheet metal.

I will for sure. I hope you can make it to Portland this year There is going to be a lot of ridemasters down there I'm thinking upwards of 20 or more now

I'm certainly going to try.   It all depends on whether or not we are able to get moved in time.

I would like to meet both you and Hank Watkins .   I'm sure other people that I've talked with on GT Talk will be there and it would be nice to meet them also.

If we can make it, I should be able to bring at least one of my Ridemasters and the Bean Cutler.

Is that suppose to have the sheet metal divider or the cast aluminum one on the sickle its self? I could post some pics of one of the sheet metal ones I have.

Here's what I have for the shanks. 4 are in good shape and there might be 2 decent enough to weld up a little to make work.

Here's a few pics of the divider. 8" tall at the back, 11 3/8" along the bottom and about 14 1/2" down the top side. The front has some fancy stamp work done if you can see what I mean from the pics. If all else fails I can try and make a copy of one side out of paper and send it to you.

Those duck feet were also made by planet Jr.

Thanks for the photos of the Divider, I'll play around with the sheetmetal one of these days and see how things turn out. Too many projects going on at one time again! I need to focus on 1 piece of equipment at a time instead if my 30 projects going on at the same time :D

I remember seeing the duck feet on a simplicity once. Must have been common back then.

I know what you mean. I also have to many irons in the fire.

If you ever restore that Unisickle , I have a NOS Decal for it we can get copy's of. You can see the faded outline of where it is on that deflector.

. It looks really cool when it's mounted on the tractor. The ridemaster it came on a friend of mine bought that the guy we got it from is convinced that the tractor was taken out the back door of the bolens factory This came from port washington Wisconsin He was telling us that a lot of stuff like that was happening around that area he had a lot of stories to tell us that's for sure There was several other brackets an pieces that we have no idea what they are for an they have bolens paint on them I'm speculating that maybe it's pieces to the sprayer attachment but I'm not convinced yet

Sounds like Jonny Cashe's cadilac... :rolling:
