OK, I know I May be beating a dead horse, but I found another picture,  this is from a Panzer brochure that sold on ebay for over $100!  Mount looks to be on the hitch and not the seat.  However, this is the fourth reference that state the umbrella is "sturdy yellow canvas"  Looks like the mounting may have varied, but the color seems to be constant (at least for the early to mid 1960's)

Your not beating a dead horse.  The more the info the better.  If we could reproduce these we could sell hundreds if not more.

OK, I have an update. After doing a little digging, it seems the umbrella (TA60) and the seat back (TA 65) were made for Panzer by Lime City Mfg. Co. of Huntington, IN.  (See attached Sale Bulletin).  They are still in business and I emailed them (I know it’s a long shot) to see if they had anything in their archives on the umbrella holder.

If you look carefully, the bulletin mixes the two option numbers up.

By the way, I found the bulletin on the Yahoo group.  They have a lot of information in the file section.

I let you all know if I hear anything from Lime City.

This is very interesting. Thanks for putting it out there. I forwarded this to Jim Haynes just in case he hasn't heard about the Lime City involvment. He already knows that Panzer didn't make the umbrella but I'm not sure he knew who really did.

I'd never seen the umbrella except on the ads.  Nice.
