Just picked up my first wheel horse. Everything so far is good except the keys in the axles have been sheared off. Anyone know where i can find either new or used axles and hubs? Thanx

I was thinking of welding the hubs to the axles, not sure if that would hold, but thats  if i cant find the parts.

Don't weld them!
You'll burn off the axel seals!
Just go to your local hardware store and get some woodruff keys.
I think their 3/16"

Took the transmission apart and the shafts are too badly deteriorated and same with the hubs......so now i am thinking of welding the shafts to the hubs and then reinstalling them before the seals go in.  Any comments?

That's a shame both axle and hubs are bad , is there anyway you could drill through the hub and axle and use a long 1/4" bolt or roll pin ?  I've welded the hubs to an axle of a old 4 wheeler with the same problem , just tacked enough weld to keep it locked on but I didn't go crazy just in case I had to grind off the weld to remove the hub.

Yes, that sounds like a good idea....better than mine, but first i think ill take them to a millright and see what can be done and how costly it will be. Thanx for your input....muchly appreciated.
