Picked up a Tecumseh hh60 engine the other day, was good running engine till it threw a rod thru the side of the case!!!!  Has some good parts, gas tank, engine tin, head should be good.  If you need parts from it let me know before I scrap it,  Only thing missing is the pull rope assy.  I can get pics later.

Sounds like a Tecumseh HH60, especially when you say a rod is through the side.  They always do that.

I'd take the blower shroud, mag and carburetor if no one else wants them.

I was told it was a kohler, but did not look real close, there are no tags just the id # on the shroud.  Pics later today.

HANK if it makes you feel better I got this on a tiller for a friend, cleaned it all out changed the oil and got it running, sat idling for maybe 5 min then bang!!!!!!!  hard enough to put a hole in the side of the case!  Good luck.
