I thought I’d post some pic’s of some of the fish I caught ice fishing last year. The first is a 7lbs Northern Pike that I caught with 5 inch creek chub and the second one is a 6 ½ lbs Brook trout also known as a Speckle Trout that I caught with a 2 inch shiner. I do love fishing and just relaxing either in my boat or out on the hard water fishing through an 8 inch hole.

Nice catch. We had a fellow at work who loved to fish. Sometimes when you asked him about his fishing trip, he would say that the fishing was great but the catching wasn't too good. That's usually my story also. A slow day fishing stills beats a day at work. Never have gone ice fishing though.

I used to fish before we had kids, I think I've been fishing 4 times since Daphne was born.

I tried ice fishing once, but by the time I chipped a hole in the ice big enough to launch the boat I was to tired to do any fishing.

Thats the way I see it, It's about spending time somewhere other than work, and enjoying the peace and quiet.

We used to go up to Door co. WI. ice fishing and loved catching Walleye, and also up to the Boundary waters in the summer for great fishing. Haven't done that in a few years, but need to start it again. Thanks for the pictures, a good reminder of what I'm missing.

Haven't fished much at all in years, and never was a true "fisherman". Once our last daughter leaves the nest, I might consider getting a small fishing boat & do a little fishing. Kind of miss it!

I mostly crappie fish anymore. I also like to fly fish for bluegill. When bluegill are on their beds you can just pluck them out with a fly rod.

I do some cat fishing every now and then as well. Will try and look up some pictures.
My biggest cat to date: back 7-5-05 15lb 10oz Flathead from the pond at my old house.

Used to fish a lot, though never got into ice fishing! Have a couple of small ponds at the farm full of Largemouth Bass, Bluegill & Crappie, fish there some yet. Haven't had the boat out much the last few years, seems like when i have time, conditions aren't good! :( ~~ grnspot110
