Picked up some mowers a few weeks back and got this little Ariens in the bunch. Doesn't have a model number and I can't seem to find a tag anywhere. Can anyone tell me what it is or where to find the tag? Also wonder how reliable these are as mowers.

Just quickly, the Briggs looks like a transplant. So I am split between an S-8 or a YT12. On second thought though, the Ariens tag is looking more like it is from later than the S series. Best guess is a YT something.

Doug, It appears to be a YT12 and the Briggs is original.

Here's a photo of one off the net.

Thanks, Brian, that looks like it. Even has the chrome air cleaner.
