All those who have served this country and have paid the ultimate sacrifice for U.S. On this up coming Memorial Day 2014 I would like to say thanks to those who fought and died for U.S.
I say a special thanks to all who serve this great country day in and day out, at home and on foreign soil. We need and appreciate you and sometimes we don't say Thank You enough.
To all of the Veterans here on GTTALK and those members who have had loved ones, family and friends who have served., My family says Thank You.
May God Bless You All.

It's good for people to realize what memorial day really is. It's not just a day off work and the opening of swimming pools

Doesn't it also mean I can wear my white shoes now till labor day?

Thanks to everyone who has served and is still serving

It's a good time to remember past veterans and those who fell during the 1st world war, which began 100 years ago this year. Canada had a small population at that time but sent 600,000 men to the trenches of WW1. 60,000 died during the 4 year conflict. That works out to nearly 40 men killed per day for 4 years, non stop. That sobering statistic has been on my mind a lot  lately. It certainly brings the scale of the conflict and it's staggering cost into perspective.

I lost my friend, and the real life pinball wizard, Ben Benton in 1967, one of the main reasons I became  spec ops and got a little payback in 1971.

My father in law served in World War II, Navy. He really enjoys when people come up and thank him. We need to thank a vet every day of the year.
