An update on the motor transplant. After putting in the motor and getting everything secured and wired I fired it up and it ran for about a minute and squeaked and shut off. Was able to turn the flywheel okay so I fired it up again. Ran for 45 seconds or so, squeaked and stopped. This kept going on for a few more tries. I think the connecting rod is binding from too much play in it.
So, after a couple of weeks went by I was given a TRA-12D that was running when it was pulled, due to a building fire and got part of the 1254 tractor.
Finally, got into swapping motors again. Now I'm dealing with how to wire up the 12 HP to the 1053 electrical system. Ignition switch is where I'm having issues. Hmmmmm.
