An update on the motor transplant. After putting in the motor and getting everything secured and wired I fired it up and it ran for about a minute and squeaked and shut off. Was able to turn the flywheel okay so I fired it up again. Ran for 45 seconds or so, squeaked and stopped. This kept going on for a few more tries. I think the connecting rod is binding from too much play in it.

So, after a couple of weeks went by I was given a TRA-12D that was running when it was pulled, due to a building fire and got part of the 1254 tractor.

Finally, got into swapping motors again. Now I'm dealing with how to wire up the 12 HP to the 1053 electrical system. Ignition switch is where I'm having issues. Hmmmmm.

You now have to pretend this is a 1254 and wire it accordingly.....

The 1254 should take the 1721409 switch . (Have them instock if needed)

I'm afraid to ask what that switch runs. Seems when I pay off BIG BILLS (like property taxes $$$$, 200 gllns of propane @ $2.50/glln., wheel bearings/hubs/rotors and brakes on the Honda Odyssey) another cost comes along and hits me right in the pocket.

Yeah, I'm ranting in a way. I don't use credit, don't have credit, can't stand credit. Sorry. Family holiday pressure has started. Ugh.
