Sears SS 16.  Got an overpriced carb kit. Not much in it. You have to pull the manifold off to get carb off and NO gaskets for that in kit. There was ONE needle valve in kit. Mine has two. Have a small o-ring, didn't know what for. Went to buddy's place and he shows me his old carb, and it has one needle for air or idle on left and really small needle on right side with NO spring and has an o-ring on it. NOW, wondering if mine is supposed to have that and someone added a diff needle? Mine is brassy on that side, and just grey metal on the air/idle side. What think?  wrong needle or some carbs are diff?  The whole carb seems pretty simple really. Another thing is the kit had NO instructions for float settings. Would think for price, should have had that and the intake gaskets.

Another note on Onan condensors.  I see them on epay for $29 and up to $40's for just ONE!  Zat right? What's with this company asking so much?

Looked in Sears owner's manual now and they also show the short needle valve with just o-ring and NOT needle with long spring! Hmmm!

First off, make sure you have the right carburetor kit.  Onan engines really are specific on their type numbers, and many times you have to get numbers off the carb to know for certain what you need.  Usually Onan has one of their xxx-xxxx part numbers stamped on the side of the carb.

Onan parts all around are not cheap.  That condenser may or may not be a bad price.  Shoot me a part number and let me try to beat it.
