At my mother-in -laws old farm the trees had become overgrown and way to close to the sheds and barns so it was time to get rid of some trees and make way for some smaller ones and a little more grass. here are some pics

Hydraulics are wonderful to say the least.  How would ya like to run an old steam shovel all day....or even just an hour!

I spent yesterday afternoon doing similar work with a 330C. Trees are no match for an excavator.

My father- in -law years ago ran a drag line on a bridge building crew   45-50 years ago ...no cabs or safety equipment...   I bet that was real WORK.

it was neat he just dug a hole the size of a volkwagon beetle by the tree then just destroyed the tree .  no match what so ever!

It is!! Last year, my dad hired two brothers that do demolition work to burry a house, part of a barn, and some trees, and they used one and a Bobcat skid steer loader with tracks. It did not take them very long with those two machines!! Those excavators are fun to watch!

That was a very nice garden, but then I agreed with what your in laws did. They will surely be able to do some nice landscaping after those trees were removed. I hope that they will be able to replace those nice trees with nice shrubs and flowers.
