Take a close up of the clutch so I can compare with mine, it has a dual belt setup going down to the pto output which is shaft drive to the deck and tiller.

Here are all the pics I have taken so far, including clutch and rearend. Was going to pull the rear out today but didn't get around to it. And really REALLY need to get my garage organized better so I have more room to work. Only been in this house for a year, still finding places for stuff lol.

Your engine was built January 23rd 1968 1st shift, Tractor was probably born a few months later.

Thats what i had figured but I thought last didgits were plant not shift?

Well I pulled the mower deck and the front wheel assembly today. Tomorrow or this week I will have the transaxle out. Anyway to Id a transaxle? There is a spot that looks like it had a number plate on it but its long gone. The only numbers I see at the moment are 02-19 on the right axle housing. Added a few more pics to the photobucket album.
