hi guys first time on this forum. iam doing a  990 restoration, iam re-wireing the whole thing. the only thing iam having a little problem with is voltage reg. on the bottom of the voltage reg. it says bat. gen. f. , on the back at the top it says groundmy question is that f goea to f  and a of the gen. goes to g is that gen. on the voltage reg. or ground on the voltage reg. thanks gary.

thanks for the wireing schematic of the electrical system, but i already have one. ill send pictures as soon as i figure out how.

Welcome to GTT glad to hear another MTD 990 owner on board. My wiring looked like a couple of cross eyed monkeys wired it. I'm sand blasting & primering right not but will be rewireing soon....I hope. Keep us posted.

Hey Gary, welcome to the forum.

The A from the generator goes to the Gen on the regulator.

Ground on the regulator will go to the frame of the tractor.

thanks vtx- i was going to go with that because it made more sense to me i guess i should have more trust in my judgement, but i just wanted to make sure. once i get this done ill put the hood , fenders , on and ill be finished with this restoration then ill send some pictures. thanks again.
