Hi folks, Im the new guy here. I recently bought a homelite t16s and think this was made by A/C.

Still gaining knowledge but need to know what  other makes/models (if any) will cross reference for my future parts needs. Thanks,Pete

Oooooh, boy!  It most likely an AC built machine, and they are scarce.  I'd sure love to see some pictures of it.  I have an Allis built T-16S and T-16H (and a pip sqeak T-8!).  The S is a late variety, while the H an earlier version.  There are some differences that I plan to document...I'm intrigued by these machines as they were unique in AC and SImplicity history.

There are no direct cross references to your machine, if AC built.  But, they sare a lot of common components with both AC 300/400 tractors as well as Simplicity built machines.  Any specific questions?

Congrats on the find, and welcome!

I didn't realize this was in a sponsor forum....might be worth moving to the Simplicity/AC forum for more traffic.

Welcome to the forum. There are a few of us on here that have the Homelites. I have 3 T-16H presently. Good rugged machines. If it looks like the one in my avitar it is an AC built machine. Post some pictures when you can and let us see it.    Again, welcome.                                                   Roger

Easiest reference is if it looks like it has an upside down Simplicity grill it's an AC. Or maybe the Simplicity grill is an upside down Homelite grill. Guess it depends how you look at it.

This is what Ive got. All Ive done is make a different muffler. Paint-wise the tiller that came on it looks original but ad photos Ive seen depict the attatchments as being blue not white..also the tiller mounts have  been modified like it came from something else...

one of those deals where you dont get the whole story, but Im happy.

Fine looking Allis-built unit.

The tiller I got with my Homelite T15 was also white. I have seen blue ones, but not in person. My snowblower was also white, and my plow was Simplicity orange-red.

They did not stay that way. The tiller was pretty rusty on the inside, the snowblower had the whole 'patina' thing going on. Around here, 'patina' means looks like crap but still works.

Thanks for the pics..that helps. your tiller looks like mine and Im starting to lean toward the idea that mine has just had work done just to keep it in use kind of thing and not done pretty.

Im going to shoot for getting mine to look as good as the ones Ive seen here when Im done using it.

Is it still posible to get homelite decals like the fake wood dash & the little T16 on the rear fender?

Overdue is a thanks to all for making me feel welcome here and for your help.

Following as I have two T-16s that I am about to begin working on, one in good condition the other needs TLC. Also have two decks, snowblower, plow, and till. The blue tiller, although my color brochure does show a white till also. Will be looking for parts, could use help with part numbers.... Carb kit, points and condenser, etc.... Can't find or read the B & S model number on either..... Thanks
