I think 50/50 acetone and auto trans fluid is just as good as anything.

I use that and PB Blaster for most things. Haven't noticed Kroil around here very much.

The absolute best penetrating oil I have EVER used is GM Heat valve lube !!! It is smelly stiff but it works !!! Kroil is my second go too. And if that doesn't work my torch does!! PB blaster was good when it was a catalyst now its just smelly and does not work... I won't even let it in my shop....

I too have had great success using Kano Lab's KROIL. Purchased a gallon a few years back, and still have some . Very distinctive smell and color.

Kroil is the best!

You have to order it from www.kanolabs.com - I've never seen it anywhere in any store.

Back in 2007, Machinist's Workshop magazine ran a comparison of the most popular penetrating oils on the market and found that Kroil outperformed all the others, including PB Blaster and Liquid Wrench. See the attached PDF.

As someone mentioned above, the only thing they found that worked even better than Kroil is a 50/50 mix of acetone and ATF.

I just bought a case of AeroKroil. The stuff is absolutely great.

I keep a bottle of the ATF/acetone on hand all the time. I'm really happy with it. It has loosened bolts that have had many years rust on them!
