I recently acquired what I believe is a very nice 1960 Wheel Horse Suburban 550, in a package deal from an estate where I purchased a few machines for my personal collection.  It's a neat machine, but not one that I'm planning to keep with my others.   $400

The tractor appears complete, with rear lift, deck, blade, and original Tecumpseh Engine. I see no rust present on anything.  For what it's worth, I'm told by the previous owner's son, that his father had all of his machines running before putting them in the barn for winter storage (and frankly, I'm counting on it).  I have not fueled this tractor up to try and run it...I have 4 others needing attention that I will be doing this with so I can hopefully get around to a few shows.  Engine feels great, good compression.

Feel free to inquire for more specific pictures, or a time to come take a look.  I am open to offers or corrections/information on the machine, and would love to find a fellow collector to share this with.  I am also always open to trades for Simplicity, Allis, Wards and Homelite 'stuff'!

Thanks!
Josh

Did someone paint the engine, it would have been WH red originally.

I have no idea...it does not look like it, but someone did scuff the paint on the ser # tag, assumingly to read it a bit better.

Well, someone may have helped you achieve that!  It sounds as though I should label this one as sale-pending.  I'd be real happy to have it join a collection.  I like it...a lot, but just have too many at this point.  A couple of these may be pushing out a couple of my existing machines also.  I don't think I can keep both T-16's.  (I don't even like to think about it)

At the price you listed it, I didn't think it would last long. I have the same problem here with several tractors sitting outside because I can't get them inside.

Well, under advisement, I was given what I believe to be accurate info about the model and year, and was told it should be a $500 package.  Frankly, I don't need that much from it, and don't need to take advantage of anyone here...$400 will suit me fine and keep me whole.  I also need the room...asap.  :D

(I already have another wish list machine waiting to take it's parking spot!)

It's all in good fun!

If you cannot sell it complete I would be interested in the plow and front lift, keep me in mind.   That is a really good price, I just picked up one a little older without the front lift and I paid $350 with the wrong engine.

Talntedmrgreen, that is one fine looking machine and the best part is that it comes with attachments! Good buy for someone hope you sell it soon so you can get the other one that you want.
