I ask cause there is a little twist to the pic I will reveal if no one gets it.

Nicely done!  I'm betting that is a wood carving. The lack of irridecence in the colors leads me to believe.

Here is the description from the email I got it in ......

 

 

Ffter you have admired it, look closer, closer, stare at the picture until you realize that this isn't a parrot at all: it's a woman meticulously made up to look like a bird.
The above photo is the work of artist and former body painting champion Johannes Stoetter who spent four weeks planning this shoot, five hours setting it up, four hours painting the model, and another hour trying to find the pose that most resembled that of a real parrot.
Having problems seeing her? OK.  I will tell you. It is a picture of a woman, body painted to look like a parrot! Her left leg is extended down for the tail; her right leg is bent  at the knee for the wing; her right arm is down for the front of the bird;  her left arm is up & around her head for the head & beak of the  bird. Look closely & you can see her face, partly painted white &  partly red.

She has no room to talk, she looks at the website BME tatts and piercings all the time.
