Not sure what this is worth but $7900 seems high.

That's not bad for that. Top end , but backhoes are $$$. Only $3500 without backhoe , again top end but not unreasonable.
IMO. Tom

I have to agree with Tom. I would say he is asking top dollar. But when you consider the the 646 was a purpose built loader backhoe tractor and stronger built than most garden tractors. Has been repowered with a Honda, New Tires, Backhoe and good paint.

To buy a fixer-upper and put it in that condition you could easily invest his asking price.

While I don't have the money for one at this time, I have looked at a couple new loader backhoe machines in that class and size(Terra-Mite & Waldon  DigMaster and they are in the $20K range.

I agree, it's at the top of their price, but it's not out of line. I would love to have one some day.

I guess it's not too far off the mark then. Is the 646 tractor much different than a 446? A new Kubota bx25 with a BH  is about 19K Canadian. Used ones don't come up for sale often so i don't know what they go for used. If I was to put a BH on my 2320 it would cost me about 8K.

The ad shows me a price of $6900 w/ backhoe.
And $3000 without.
I see those asking $2500 around here.
That one appears to be in good shape.
I don't know what the backhoe is worth.
I think the 646 is an all around beefier tractor

Yes The 600 series while it uses many of the garden tractor components and frame were beefed up in all the high stress areas to take the load of the loader and backhoe.. The front spindles were bumped up to 1 1/4 inch with bearing hubs and bolt on wheels. The rear axle was gusseted.

Ya, the problem he has, is that when you start talking that kind of money,
You can buy a full sized backhoe!
Unless you really need a small machine, who will pay that?
It's a matter of what it's worth, versus what else you can get for similar money!

Joe
