I ran into an interesting situation last week, the shifter wasn't in Ryan's tractor as it had been stolen years ago to fix up another one.
I went thru the spare parts & found a shifter, but it was about 4" longer than the original. The Longer one was off a 1970, the shorter ones were on 66 & 67.
Anyone know why the change?
Or when?
Is there a good reason to use the longer one for Ryan (ease of use, better shifting)?

Interesting... So you could say that you have a short throw shifter now! There sure seems to be a lot of "tiny changes" over the years.
