Thanks ,

No certain machine I am looking at, just wanted to redesign this garden tractor into a little grader. Each day I have no idea how it is going to look. :wallbanging:

I have made several brands of graders as models over the years.

I worked the whole day yesterday on the new steering system. Got it done last night and it steers great. Today I will beef up the center frame and then get going on the new grader blade. :rocker2:

Todays grader progress shows the first sheet metal cut out over the support frame. Also the sheet metal covering the steering shaft started. The first blade circle parts also cut out. Tomorrow I should get going on the blade . :D

Thats quite a project Don... lookin good;)

since its not your first Im guessing you liked how well the earlier ones worked... are you working them with a gravel driveway or for snow removal? Or? Do you know approx finished weight? Im curious because I have about 300yds of gravel driveway around the yard that such a machine might work well on... I might want to steal your idea so dont be shy with the details and pics..lol

Actually it is more of a parade tractor than a real grader. I will only use if for snow as i have no gravel driveway . I just always wanted a mini grader so I am just building it to show at tractor shows. Just another fun project to keep me from getting in trouble, :D

Todays progress shows the front cross beam welded in place and the two lift cylinders . Also you can see the second cross beam supporting the arm for the scarifer linkage.

By tonight the new blade will be cut out , bent and sitting under the frame.

Yesterday I got the new blade cut out and bent . I also cut out the first parts for the blade circle. Now it is just starting to look like a grader. Today I will work the whole day on the blade circle.

Thanks ,

Todays photo looks the same but I worked on attaching the blade to the aframe , built rear blade support brackets. The lift cylinders are attached for the first time . The front frame now has a plate bolted to it and I connected the whole blade assembly for the first time. So each day it takes more shape.

Lift rams are longer than I would have expected, any reason they need to be that long or were they just what you had handy. Got a close up of the front a-frame to chassis mount?

Lookin Good;)

Thats just amazing. To watch how you take it from normal to that is just unreal. And to think you just go by your vision of how you want it. Just amazing.

Today I fired up the grader and raised the 6 foot blade and drove it out of the workshop for the first time. My wife just downloaded a video on you-tube at doncampbellequipment

It was different to drive but fun.
