The clutch requires a 1" DIA shaft about 2 3/4" long to use the BH clutch.

Oh I see says the blind legless man..............thanks for the heads up. The bh engine has the splines on it for the clutch plate correct???

 

No, the crank isn't tapered, just a standard keyed, BUT, the end of the crank must be bored & a pilot bushing installed for the clutch shaft to ride in. This clutch shaft is what has the splines.  Plus, if you wanted to have pto to run a deck, these engines have a special crank that extends past the flywheel for the pto clutch to mount.

Thanks Daniel. I didnt do the trade but I did get a free 275 gal steel caged watering tank to turn into a electrolis tank. I still need to make some room in the garage for the bh but I want it in there for sure.
