I just feel bad for this GT, looks like a 6 y/o got ahold of a rattle can.

That's a good deal, the cart is worth 100.00 to 150.00 by it's self and the tractor is either a 655, 855, 656, 856, 657 or a 857. that's the only 3 years WH made that model with the Electric start Kohler and the drive belt guard had an inset for the model number.

That looks like the one I have. But mine doesn't have the indent on the belt guard. 8hp Kohler, electric start, and 3 speed. Mine was painted an ugly dark green with ugly yellow wheels when I got it. Nothing to ID the model.

You don't have an ID tag on the dash tower just below the actual dash? Can you post a photo of it?

Yours appear to have a 3 spoke steering wheel and if it's the original then yours is a 1986 or 69 Commando 8. Wheel Horse use a 2 spoke wheel thru 1967.

Edit, It's got to be a 1968 Commando 8 because WH started using full running boards in 1969.

I believe this steering wheel is from a John Deere. Inside the cap is JD green.
I will assume it is a1968 Commando 8 from the belt cover and lack of running boards.
At least whoever put this steering wheel on was smart enough to save the Horse and get rid of the Deere.

The cap may be from a JD, but that wheel was used by WH for and couple years and it's the same as the JD wheel JD used at that time.
