That kind of thing would make me consider moving.

Typical spring weather here. Now the sun's shining and the birds are singing. Forecast is for the low 70's starting next Wednesday.

Holy , I thought we had a bad spring. That's nasty. We still can't plant yet , but the snow is gone. Farm tractors are just getting on the fields yesterday. Noel

Storm hit us at 5:15 this evening:

Over 1-1/4" of rain, mostly in 20 minutes, high wind & quite a bit of pea to marble sized hail, some bigger!  One 4-5" Maple limb from our tree in the neighbors yard, lots of small dead Maple branches down.  I checked the greenhouse & it's OK, thanks to the shade cloth!  Check the rooves & clean gutters tomorrow.  Could have been worse, was ten years ago next month!  ~~Lowell

Ol' man winter decided we needed a little more. Several yrs ago we got 4" on the 8th of June.

It just won't let go. I remember 5 years ago it was a very similar spring as we are having now here in western South Dakota. Last Tuesday it snowed all day but was melting when it hit the ground. We are at the base of the Black Hills. 45 miles away Deadwood and Lead got 2 feet--- again. I have lost track of how much snow they have gotten since last October!

Hope it improves for us all soon!---DAC

Spent the day today cleaning gutters, checking roofs (no noticeable damage) & picking up sticks & branches out of the yard.  Have a fair sized pile to chip in a day or two.  ~~  Lowell

Not sure how much rain we got Friday, wind blew the good gauge out of it's holder & hail broke the funnel on the big gauge with 1-3/4" in it. Today, another 2-1/2" since noon today!

Some pics of our back yard today:

Covered my tators and onions with sawdust today, 34* predicted tonight!   :(

The insurance adjuster was here today; house, two storm windows, gutters, roof, some siding & trim & front porch post damage. Shop gets a new roof, shed; new roof & one window. New landscape lights, some flower pots & even a new silver tarp roof for the dog pen (which was worn out anyway)! Roofs were all new after the last hail storm 10 years ago.  Lots of damage I didn't see!

The last time the total bill to me was $160 over the ins. check & I had some extra work done.  ~~ Lowell
