Nice tractor!

I've got mine torn apart now, and can get some photos and dimensions of the belt guard if you want.

Gee Bob that would be just great. Is there any way you could lay it on a big piece of paper, trace around it then fold it all up and send it to me . I would pay for all the S&H charges.

Your 1958 is the Deluxe Ride-a-Matic

The links Husky provided above are the best Ride-a-Matic Decals you can buy

I worked with the guy to get them made up and made sure they were all to spec.

The colors used were Metallic Green and Light yellow, after numerous failed attempts I was able to come up with a 99.9% match of the original green!

Here's one I restored last summer, its a 1957

That is absolutely a beautiful job you did on that tractor. I am totally amazed at how nice it looks great job.

Sure, just pm me your address.

In the meantime, here are some pics of the guard.

Deerelope check out the link to Bolens 1000 post on his RAM. There is a ton of great info on that post along with an example of a fine restoration. The link is two posts up from this post.

Would you happen to still remember the brand name of the paint you used and how it was mixed? I am sure that I will not be painting for some time to come but that info can go in the RAM folder.

I got this mixed last week ($50/quart!!!yikes, glad it's only a small tractor and not something big), and from the sample, it looks dead on.  I haven't shot any of it yet, hoping to soon, if the rain ever stops.

This is another very interesting RAM thread to follow. It's good to know that someone found the correct green.  Anyone know what to use for the yellow lettering on the front of the tractor?
