JD 140 runs good with no smoke. Hydro strong with fresh fluid and filter. No deck ,seat or headlight panel. rattle can paint job one bracket needs tacked back on . Has 110 hood, air filter included but not in pic. $350 bo

That is cheap for a 140.

Interesting things in those pics worth pondering:

- H1 with independent brakes

- White deck lift handle (patio??)

- White steering column/wheel (say what?)

From this I would guess that it has the late style rear end:

At Serial number 30001, for the 1971 model year a change was made in the type of hydrostatic unit used. This change incorporated a pinion and ring gear design rather than the bull gears used on previous models. The rear axle diameter was also increased. Rear brakes were changed for the disc type used up to this time to a more reliable drum brake system. Individual rear wheel brakes were retained on the H3 models.

Question - Is there white paint showing through the fender pan below the clutch on the 3rd picture?
