Looking for a new or used set of blades for a 18070-02 series 54" deck. can be used, deck came with none. As long as I can get them sharpened, it would be ok. Thanks

They are Bolens but have been NLA for quite some time.

If anyone needs about 5,000 of them we can get them reproduced :D

I do not know even what to say. There has to be a used set rusting away somewhere. :watch_over_fence:

Doesn't Stens have any that will work? My goodness they have pages and pages of blades in their catalog.

I agree with you.

I bet if we take measurements of the blade and center hole plus the width, we could match something up between Oregon, Stens, and Rotary.

Are there any that are a close match? If there are it might be possible to modify the blade or deck slightly so they would work together.

You could do that but it would require some hacking....... :(

Why should I really be surprised.  Gilson blades are the same way.  I tried Farmerall's ideas once when I got desperate and I did make a Gilson blade.  I ground one down and made it work.  But it was a real pain in the tail.

Does anyone have the dimensions, just in case there's a set hanging on a nail somewhere?

Thanks guys. I have been looking, but not found any that would, at least be an easy hack. Here are the specs per Bolens 1000:

Length: 18-3/4"
Center Hole: 3/8"
Outer Hole: 3/8"
Outer Hole Center to Center: 2-3/4"
Requires: (3) for 54" cut

You would think something would be close, but NO!!

Thanks.

I did a quick search and found that part number on this web site:  http://members.tripo...lens/blades.htm .It lists a three blade set for $60 a set.  Don't know if their info is correct though.
