Dad just called and said that his new to him 2002 F-250 Super Duty was just stolen in the Northern Tool parking lot in NW San Antonio. Dad was only in the store for 15 or so minutes and when he came out, the truck was gone. I know it's a 12 year old truck, but it only had 110,000 miles on it and looked brand new. I can't believe how brave these thieves are getting.

I'm sorry to hear about your dads' loss. The bad guys aren't brave, they just know that the odds of getting away with crime are in their favor. Good Luck, Rick

If it had a Bush Hog in the back, Brian wouldn't be posting.

He'd be running towards San Antonio with an axe over his shoulder.

Sorry to hear of your Dad's bad luck there Brian.

Tell your Dad I feel so bad for him.  Having something stolen sure pulls one chains to the core, and this makes the 2nd time in less than 2 years....maybe one year.  Comprehensive or full coverage?  I sure hope so!

That's terrible news.

Are you sure it wasn't towed?

No BH in the bed, but several components to 2 burning systems we are building for a customer in the back seat inside the cab. Dad's Brief Cases with the Co. check books and his new laptop and printer along with several of our ongoing job files. We do now carry full coverage on all our vehicles, so hopefully the contents should be covered. Doubt it was towed as it's in the Northern Tool parking lot and they are open.

But then some of the thieves use tow vehicles to do their thieving these days.  Nobody would be that suspicious of a tow vehicle.

Thieves aren't worried about being caught.  They know they will be out and back on the street with 24hrs.  Sorry to hear about the loss Brian.  What is bad is all that company info the thieves now have.

My bet, headed for Mexico or soon. Strip shop in area first?? Locked up in some big Mex truck?  Do they open all those now at borders? or does free trade take those inspections away now?

My neighbors F-350 Crew Cab 4X4 was stolen last Sept. and the police found it striped and abandoned in Jan in a bad part of San Antonio. If they haven't found it by now, it will be in a chop shop I'm sure.

Bill, that is my biggest concern, I've got to call the banks and get them up to speed on the check books. Hopefully Dad has been making copy's of all the files because he's misplaced a few in the last couple years.
