What engine do you have?  Something Briggs?

I'm assuming you have the Briggs magnetron chip kit, right?

What do you mean by 2 post armature?  Are we talking a three leg armature where the coil fits over the center "leg" of the lamination?

Most magnetos have two flywheel magnets.  One excites the electric juice and one breaks the field.   I'm not worried there.

IMMEDIATELY after the engine dies out, check to see if there is spark.  ....If there is a strong spark, most likely the problem is not in the ignition system, but is a fuel-related problem.

If the engine dies out because it loses the spark, then it could be a faulty condenser or ignition coil.  ....NEW parts does not always mean GOOD parts!

Fuel issues may be caused by incorrect float level, clogged fuel screens or filters, water in the fuel, dirt in the carb (from the gas can), clogged gas cap vent,  etc.

When the engine strats to die, can you "save it" by closing the choke?

Most likely a fuel issue. Feed it gas using an old windex bottle. If it continues to run you know you have a fuel delivery issue.
