:worshippy2: GEORGE SAVED THE DAY!

Computer is now up and running and I'm in the process of getting my software back on it.

Still no sound :confuse:

I told you George could get you running! Now for the sound, but shouldn't be too hard.

Still no sound and Lenovo support gets a F in my book.:deadhorse:

On the good side I was able to recover my 2010 turbotax download and I just may be able to recover some files from the old HDD :bounce:

Quite often, the motherboard has the soundcard incorporated. If this is the case, you may try searching for the drivers by name of the manufacturer of the motherboard. Worth a try?

The motherboard does have the sound-card and nic-card built in. I bought a nic-card for $20 so I could go online and search for fixes for the drivers but I'm thinking that if i can get a sound-card for around $20, I will be glad to be done with it :deadhorse:

If you have the model number of the computer they should have downloads available on Lenevos site for the drivers.
