Picked up this 145 today, pretty rough and missing a couple oem pcs but the grille is fairly decent. Hasnt been run for a couple years but it isnt seized, came with functional tiller and deck for $180, it will probably just be a parts donor because Im already working on an LGT 100 and an LGT 165.

Nice score , especially for that price! Looks too nice in pics to be a donor though. Tom

I agree with Tom.  Looks like you got it at a great price and it looks too nice to be a parts tractor.

That rear PTO is worth twice what you paid for the tractor!
And the very rear optional steering wheel with the horn ring!
Wow!

It sure doesn't look too rough in those pictures, especially for that price.

Nice catch.

Happy Happy, Ive looked closer now, drained the old gas, pulled the carb for cleaning, and the plug, put in a battery.... and took it for a rip in the snow around the yard... LOL

great score... pto works, deck and tiller are both complete and functional(belts incuded), lift works, hi lo works, brakes work, AND... the GRILL is UNBROKEN.... this thing needs only cosmetic work, little welding on the main grill support, little body work and paint, needs a new seat, new steering wheel would be nice, and I already got a few battery covers handy... its in better overall condition than my LGT165... but not as good as my LGT100.

My plan has always been to build two LGTs... one gearbox for the garden work, and one hydro for mowing and pulling trailers... Im well on my way today;)

Things always look better in pics, but it is in better condition than I first thought, but then it had to be pushed into the trailer, now that Ive got it running, driving, and confirmed the pto works its worth more than what I paid... maybe $300 range now.

My other lgt hydro is in similar condition so I'll be tearing them both down and building one tractor in above average condition with plenty of spare parts, and I also have the lgt 100 which is in better condition than either hydro except for a nasty primer paint job... and the 100 can now have lights.

I still dont have a Ford snowblower so I'll be keeping my wanted ad posted for the time being but I am getting close to having enough Fords now;)

Great find and the steering wheel is pure class.

Got started tear down today, no nasty surprises so it shouldnt be apart for long, cant be, I'll need a mower real soon so cosmetic issues will have to wait until next winter. Somebody did a nice job installing the plastic gas tank so it will stay for now.

I think that steering wheel will look alot better on the shop wall, these fords have far too much free play for an 18" steering wheel, its like drivin a bus.

Anyone else have a twist type choke knob? First one Ive seen on these fords.

Yes! My LGT 125 has one and a white 3 spoke steering wheel. And zero slop in the steering. But I have 2 other parts machines that are spanked.what you have is a 1972 or early '73 model year machine as they were the ones with this type choke. Later models went to the pull type and from what I have seen and heard from a dealer friend that used to work on them, that the 165's always had the pull choke No matter what year??

Thats good to know thanks, there isnt much left of the engine tag, I can make out K321 AS but thats about it. I have an older Ford 120 but it has a pull type choke also so this twist style was an oddity to me. Seems to work good tho:)
