I used Ford Blue Implement Spray paint from Tractor Supply. Put on a Rustoleum Primer, and it's been holding up to hard use. Just make sure you degrease clean the metal really well. Any oil residue will make the primer and paint not stick.

That might be the same paint that canadian tire sells, I'll take a pic of a can when I head out to the shop for comparison.

I just got involved with the Fords a little over a year ago so cant really say how well it will hold up just yet, usually I dont clear coat when I use rattle cans, I just keep some on hand for touchups.

I don't clear coat, and the stuff from Tractor Supply doesn't chip or flake off, as long as the surface is perfectly clean when you prime and paint. I am sure Tractor Supply ships to Canada.

Sorry for my delayed reply. I must have missed the notification that there we replies to this thread after my post.

I can attest to the paint from wal mart don't use rustoleum had terrible time with it and we rattled til the cows came home we started off nice blue then lighten right up to the point you swear it was coming out white, I talked to another friend that runs a body shop and said that chances are that paint had froze up in ware house once upon a time so ended up going to tractor supply and using that brand of blue
