Dave, I'm really sorry to hear that!  I know the family will really appreciate you and Mrs. Buzzard being there, though.  Those are hard trips to make.

Drive safe.

Thanks SO much guys, it really means a lot.

I'm still not there, we got a LATE start, and then had to backtrack some 70 miles.

We didn't have a lot of fuel in the tank, so I checked online and found a station down the road to fill up.  That's when I discovered that in the rush to get n the road, that I had forgotten my wallet, and we didn't have enough gas to get back home!

Fortunately the wife stashes her winning Ohio Lottery winning tickets, and we did have enough to purchase enough gas to get back home.

Sure am glad that I didn't have a lot of gas in the tank when we started or we would have been well and truly screwed if we would have been 200-300 miles down the road before we discovered it.

Anyway, due to the late start, we stopped just south of Cincinnati at a Flying J and got a bit of sleep.

Then @ 7:00 we headed out again, and got as far as Montgomery AL. That's close to 550 miles, and as anyone that travels long distances, you  really average @ 50 miles/hour, so that was close to 11 hrs, and by that time I was just too tired to keep driving, so we stopped in a campground over night.  Not to mention the stress of dealing with the drivers in Memphis and Birmingham.  Both cities have MORE than their fair share of idiot drivers.

Anyway, I'm sitting have a cup of coffee, and will be on the road again pretty soon.  We are only about 4 hrs or so from Gautier MS, which is maybe 20 miles or so East of Biloxi.

Again guys, THANK YOU for all the thoughts.
