So I picked up this wheel horse over the weekend, had a thread going and figured I should put it here where it belongs.  Got to looking for the correct engine for it and was told a Clinton engine would very difficult to get, so----Oh well I guess I will use a kohler on it.

Go to work today and the tractor is still in the back of my truck, I wanted to show it to a few guys I work with.  Got to talking to one of the guys and he says he has a Clinton engine rite there in the shop under the bench, Clinton b-1200 series engine rite there all complete.  he took it of a walk behind tractor he got from another guy who works there.

Best part is he owed me a favor and gave me the motor!!!!!!!!  I stopped on the way home and got a lotto ticket!   It is not the correct engine for the tracotor but it allot closer than the Tecumseh that is on there now.

Good for you! Maybe you can trade it for one that is correct. There has to be someone who is looking for what you have.

Did that cute little girl come with the machine?

Great job on getting your hands on that engine!  That is great!

She really owns them all!!! I just get to use them when I need.   This has been a super day, did some playing with the Clinton and after about an hour it fired rite up, didn't even have to clean the carb.  does not smoke or anything, I am super stoked.  Give me a few days and I will be driving the wheel horse around.

HANKG  What do you mean by the lift detent??  You mean the lift handle?  The hood is pretty badly dented, lots of little stuff and the gas tank is hooked in wrong, they drilled holes and riveted the straps onto the hood.  Little things to do to it.

I am going to spend some time this weekend with it.

Nice, nice and nice.
The tractor, the engine, and quality time with your best helper.
Before you know it, she'll be a teen and things change. Enjoy these best years while you have them.
