Ok guys and gals, I talked to Daniel a week or so ago and he asked me to make a post here but I have been so busy with life that I havent had time. SO..........i figured while I was sitting here at work doing NOTHING I would come harass you guys.
The week before my plow day was supposed to take place, I had some MAJOR ISSUES come up at home that I had to deal with in a SWIFT and EFFECTIVE manner and there was no way to do that and make the plow day happen so I had to cancel it. IT SUCKS but that is life sometimes.
As of right now, i am tending to 21 Rhode Island Red Chickens (about 2 months old and living in my garage...lol) 5 goats, 4 pigs that are about 3-4 months old, 5 horses.........all with the help of my beloved girlfriend Dana. Actually she does most of the feeding because all of the animals are at her place except for the RIR's. She has 6-8 chickens at her place right now also.(ONE of the horses belongs to my kids, a Christmas present that they dont know about yet. Three of the goats and the pigs are mine but since we are working on starting our own little farm, we call the all OURS) I have been trying to get part of the property fenced to turn the pigs and goats loose in. It is wooded and they would have a BLAST once I turn them loose. But as with everything else in life, things get in the way. There is a Red Oak tree growing on the part that I am fencing and it got struck by lighting at some point in the last 4-5 years and one of the "limbs" fell off and landed in the fence line. Well so far, I have cut up, split and hauled off 5, YES FIVE truckloads and still have at least one truckload still laying there possibly two. I do have to sides of the fence and the gate up so I am making some progress albeit SLOW.
