I bought this Ford LGT 165 as a basket case 3 years ago and have rebuilt it. I took it to a tractor show 2 years ago with the tractor  pretty much finished, and said to myself next year I will rebuild the mower deck so I can mow with it. I hurt my shoulder and wrist and had them both operated on so that did not happen. My grandson came to my rescue and rebuilt the mower deck for me, it has been here over 3 months and today a friend came by and helped me get it on the tractor and I was able to mow with it for the first time. It did a good job I really enjoyed it and it just may replace the Sears GT18 as the primary mower which I have always said was the best tractor/mower I had ever used.

Those Fords are a really capable tractor and you have a very nice example there.

That is a very good looking Ford you have now! Great job of bringing it back to life. Kudos to the grandson for stepping in and getting the deck ready for you!

Beautiful machine you have there for sure!! And my favorite version of the LGTs. As for mowing... AWSOME !! Nothing will mow any better than one of these machines properly set up !! If all the anti-scalp rollers are proper and set correctly, it will mow as low as a 1/2" knap to as high as 3-1/2" with perfect results !! But you must be sure the rolls are good and not really altered and the spindles are aligned properly and flat to the deck/rolls! I found out the hard way about this ... had a tomahawk mower deck LOL and turned my lawn into a upside down file.

After tweaking the deck back flat and true .... WHO DOGGY !!! It will mow a golf green!!

 Again , wonderful job!!!

Man, that's a good looking Ford. I like the white deck too. Is that factory

original colour for the deck?

not sure, but I doubt that it is original color, My grandson painted it and not sure what color he used, it looks nice to me.The deck is supposed to be white I think.

All the decks I've seen have been Blue. But the White looks good on there!
