It doesn't really look like a conventional tractor at all. A special purpose machine!

There is a limited market for Golf Course Maintainence tractors. They are special purpose built and are a very neat category, for collectors.

How many rember the Penzoil commercials that featured Arnold Palmer with his restored Toro Golf Course tractor?

That is a neat tractor and could be very useful on an acreage where the turf was delicate. My place is steep enough in places a machine like this would be useful in preventing erosion when mowing

There was a similar one advertised locally for quite some time. I looked into it when I was trying to find a larger tractor than my Cub Cadets.  It's a pretty beefy unit--notice the dual clinch wheels on the rear. It would be a pretty good unit for pulling farm wagons, etc., I think.

opps, I'm sorry, they are asking $1900. I think I remember it on CL in the fall for 2800.

That's a cool old tractor and the price isn't bad either. Like others have said these were mainly used on golf courses and most of the time they were used to pull a set of gang mowers.
