I was just reading an article about it being hte slowest start to the otrnado season in a long time. I was hoping that trend would continue. It's one thing we don't have to deal with up here and I'm glad of that!

It could get rough for some folks! I'm glad DirectTV put the Weather Channel back on! Between them and the locals, we'll be covered pretty well!

This would be a good time for Oklahoma to book a cruise! Everyone take a vacation.

Years ago I worked for a company that built equipment for forming concrete houses. The equipment sold well all over the world but they wouldn't sell here in the US. I thought that this was the answer to houses that had been destroyed by tornadoes. They could be designed passive solar, tornado proof, and to look like any other house. The system was faster than conventional construction and cheaper. Every time I see reports about tornados, I think of concrete houses. Good Luck, Rick

In Spain the house are made of concrete.  I found it interesting to watch them build over there.  They use tree's to hold the forms up but it always looked  like they had just gone out in the woods and cut them down, where here you see cut boards.  Another thing is all the floors over there are tile as well including the carport.  I would think it would be much safer in a concrete house with tornado's.

I hope everyone stays safe this weekend.  That system will probably be moving our way next week.  I hoping it will loose steam before it gets here.  Our forecasters haven't said anything yet.
