Question?

I have a cub 100 with stock tires rear tire size is 6-12.

local classified ad has 2 new Carlise Power Trac ll 21 " tires on 8 inch rims? how do I tell what will fit?

Those tires won't fit on your tractor. You have 12 inch rims on your Cub. If you are looking for bar tread tires, these will work. http://www.powerspor...CFcg7MgodBjUAyw

6 represents the width of the tire and 12 is the height of the rim it fits on. 6-12 tires are approx. 22 in. tall.

Yes,  Anything wider than 6 on your current rims wouldn't work real well. Next step up would be 23-8.50-12 tires.  8.50 is the width of the tire. If I remember right, they take about a 7 1/2" rim.
