I have a bolens 1886-01, and when running at a slow idle, the engine vibrates a lot, is this normal? There are no mounts, just bolts to engine plate, then to frame.

I would check the ujoints in the drive shaft and make sure they are still in good shape.

Thanks, I did find a sloppy one directly under the dash panel. I did not know that it would cause the whole thing to shake. Thank you.

I would pull the shaft and replace both joints. If you need them I have new ones here.
