12 hp Tecumseh..Had a knock at mid rpm's. Not noticeable at idle or high rpm's, at least not nearly as noticeable as at 1/3 throttle..Finally sputtered and died..cant get it started back. it has fire and its getting fuel..do you thinking its the timing and could possibly the knock have been from it being out of time?

Tried another plug?  Could be the coil is weak, breaking down or possibly the timing but that doesn't necessarily just go out unless something else happens.

Is this electronic solid state? They go bad and cause odd errors. Hard to parts too, but can be opened and modified to work again. Fella with online help or He builds for you.
