A White 2550H  tractor came with the house my son bought last  year Right from the beginning he was having troubles  with that belt tensioner .It was repaired at some point but it sure didn't seem right .A 5/8" bolt went through the deck for it to pivot on , you can imagine what it looked like tipped over so much the angle of the pulley kept throwing the belt off . Even when I  tried a big washer underneath it didn't work very good . It got him through  last season but wanted to make a better repair . I couldn't see how just bolting it or welding it through the deck would last very long so made a bracket to support the bolt top to bottom .The support by the chute was broken so I bent a 1/2" rod for support .The deck was starting to get very rusty so a little POR15 , little primer and some red paint it is good enough to keep it from rusting through  if my son wants a better job he can redo it himself

Good job on the repair, looks like that should last awhile.
