Nothing really to report here. He is still doing well. Getting around a lot better. No walker! He struggles a little to get up, but once he is up he walks without the walker and moves around just fine.
His sugar levels are bouncing all over even being on the tube feed, as his pancreas at this point isn't doing much for insulin production if at all.
Even though he is doing well at a glance and to talk to him, he is still very sick. Pancreas still dead/dieing, can't eat solid foods,
He has an appointment today.

Hopefully if he can continue to improve and get the infection under control they will be able to do surgery. Thanks for the update.

Stay positive if you can. I have a friend who went through the same thing and did pull through. It took a lot of time and a lot of prayer, along with the medical interventions to beat the inflammation.

He had his Doctors appointment yesterday. No good news at all.
- He is not a candidate for surgery
- The infection is still raging, even with the huge doses of IV antibiotics daily.
- His Pancreas function is less than 90%
- He will still be on the feeding tube
Basically yesterday they were told there is nothing they can do. He can live however long the way he is until things no longer are working.
I don't really know where we can go. He could go on for years like this, weeks, days, months...no one knows.

Sorry to hear the bad news. When things get like this it is really tough to deal with for everyone concerned.
Wish all of you the best.

I was hoping for a better report.
Is it possible that a different doc could do more/ different opinion?
I am not really sure what their plans are. This was between a team of a doctors at the big shot Pittsburgh Hospitals. There is Cleveland Clinic, Rub Memorial in Morgantown, and Ohio State in Columbus all within 2 hours of home. I am hoping they do go for a second or third opinion.
Honestly I think he was more upset that he still isn't allowed to eat solid food more than anything....

He has been doing well up until about 2pm yesterday. He started throwing up and sick. His back is killing him, and he is completely unable to hold his bladder.
He is at the ER now getting MRI's and such done to find out what the problem is. They are afraid he has gotten a spinal infection from the line they have permanently installed for him to receive his IV fluids and antibiotics. Apparently a spot in your back can cause these symptoms.
He is back in the woods pretty deep this time. I don't know since my last update that he was ever really out, but he is worse off now than he was since my last update.
Up until yesterday he was walking, talking, laughing, joking, not using any o2 or assistance to walk. He was about back to himself minus the lack of solid food intake. Heck last weekend he even got in the swimming pool and was wading around. He couldn't swim because of the IV line in his arm, but he was walking around the pool and enjoying himself.
