Seems to be original

and that is the first weight, that I see. If they are in stock, your JD dealer can say, what they cost.

Edit: here in D you pay one Euro (~1.,25 $) per 1 kg (2.2 lbs) - for the weight - but herefore you can get more money.

The worth of the braket is: ??? 20 $ ???. Best will be, you ask a dealer.

I  think the newer tractors use the suitcase style weights. I've never seen that style of weight up here on a 200 or 300 series tractor. I've seen it on a 110.

The weight bracket resells on ebay every now and then between $75.00 - $125.00. As for the weight itself, they are getting harder to find, but are out there. I've seen then resell anywhere from $50.00 each to $150.00 each. Your weight and bracket are original. The weight brackets are now being reproduced, and one of our sponsors, Hapco, sells them. The weights were being reproduced at one time, but I don't think they are anymore. I think the only difference between the original weights and the reproduction weights were the JD stamp. The new reproduction weights didn't have them.

Nice score, and will come in handy if you use rear mounted equipment such as the garden plow or rototiller. If your buddy has more weights like this to sell than what you need, let me know. I'm still looking to find/buy two more of these weights for my personal collection.

The mounting brackets to make the weight fit you round fender are available through Hapco as well. I believe they are around $35.00 for the set of two. They also carry the rear frame hanger brackets, so that you can mount the weight to the rear of your round fender. You will still need the main front weight brackets though in order to use them on the rear.

The mount "should" work on a 120/140/300 series as the mount on the 43 blade from the 100/200 series will mount up fine on the 120/140/300 series tractor.  Nice find!

As Travis stated above, the weight bracket you have will fit all flat fender 110/112, 120/140, 200 series and 300 series tractors. If you are looking to mount this weight bracket to the front of your round fender tractor, it can work by finding and using the adapter bracket as shown below:
