A buddy of mine told me about these today.  Said the parts are almost 100% interchangeable with a Kubota.  I can see a physical resemblance .

They have been in the market up here for at least 5 years now. I think they build a good product. The parent company also owns Bobcat and the Bobcat compact tractors are basically Kioti tractors painted in Bobcat colors. I'm not sure that they are Kubota clones though. They may have been close in the early days but I think they are unique designs at this point in time. They look like solid tractors to me and if in the market I would surely include them.

Local dealer here has been selling them for at least 8 years.  There are a TON of them around my area and the people that have them seem to be satisfied with and like them.  I don't know how much they are the same as Kubota's if any.

Kioti is manufactured by Daedong, a South Korean company that has been in the tractor business for about 60 years. Kioti is actually only used for their North American equipment, everywhere else, like nearby Australia for instance, they are known simply as a Daedong Tractor.   Company time line

They do look a lot alike. So much so that Kubota filed a law suit in 2002. I would guess they do not interchange though.

I've heard that same Kubota clone claim myself. I heard it years ago at a show from the Kioti salesman. I think they were trying to convince people that they were getting Kubota quality for less money.  If you look closely you will see that they are quite different but have pretty much the same colour scheme.

Kioti and Kubota do look a lot alike, but they are not related in the least.

Kioti is a bit more "plain" as far as that goes, but just as sturdy as a Kubota.  I like the old Kioti's.  They were well made stocky little things.  They always started well cold, which is more than I can say for an old Kubota!

Kioti dealers are known for not stocking many parts in my area.  I worked for one, the reason is that there is no profit margin.  List price and dealer cost is so close that there is really no monetary reason to carry parts.

The Bobcat SCUTs were re-badged Kiotis. Bobcat ended that relationship over a year ago, due to poor sales.

I was told Bobcat was not even going to offer warranty service anymore, it was all going to a Kioti dealer.  I've never followed up to see if that is true, though.  They actually sold really well in my area from what I understand.

Kioti's are very good tractors-would stack them up against Kubota anytime. Lot more bang for the buck.

They were 2nd to Kubotas where we used to live in Erie, PA.  With all the grape vineyards and small farms, it was Kubota, Kioti and Yanmar in that order for what you saw driving thru the country side.  New Holland was starting to make a dent when we moved back to Indiana.  Mostly green stuff here with a few Kubotas and other imports.  My Yanmar is one of the few I have seen of that brand since moving back.

I see quite a few in my area and have yet to talk to anyone that has anything but good comments about them.
