I was walking by a Tiller tonight at Wal Mart and as I was walking by it caught my attn because it wasn't a briggs and stratton engine. I went back and it said 'Powermore' on the engine.

I was quite confused.

Chinese made engines have become the standard equipment on most consumer grade stuff these days.

Thats what I have heard also. And if you can get the parts they rip your eyes out on the price.IMO I think they will be a piece of junk before they die of old age.

Parts?  We don't have any stinkin parts!  Just buy a new one again, they are Cheap!  Harbor Freight sells lots of those engines and Honda Clones are all over.  Never had one or know how they hold up.  Sad, just another American item that has gone to China. I heard that most Briggs are made there anyway in modern world, not sure? Seems they only make the V-twins here in US now.  Heard similar about Kohler's, but don't know about them either. I hope there is never a war between China and US, we wouldn't have facilities or the machines to make anything needed anymore. Maybe this is way for China to slowy sneak in and take over from the Inside. They are buying all the US bonds as they are produced. That mean they will ask for "Pay Up" someday and we can't???

Think that was a topic of concern with large Cat Diesel generators on 60 Minutes a few years ago,not to mention the tech transfer that goes with it.
