Well, there's a long story behind this tractor, but it will finally be coming home after sitting for 8 years at the place I used to live. It looks a lot worse than it really is. I have all of the missing parts stored, so it will be a restoration where I don't have to search high and low for parts. I'll be replacing what bearings and seals need replacing, and at least it still turns over and has compression. The clutch is free, so I don't have to worry about that.
I think the engine is a model 23 Briggs. I rebuilt that engine 10 years ago and it ran great, but it doesn't matter since I'll be installing a Briggs ZZ engine I picked up today. I started another thread on the clutch that's on the ZZ, because it's similar to the one on the Mighty Might. Here is a pic of the Mighty Might and the original clutch set up.

Nice! Can't wait to see this one finished. Take lots of pictures because, remember, we have a month for tractor of the month that is before and after. Perfect candidate!

Will do David. I didn't even know exactly what this tractor was until I researched it a month ago. My cousin bought a few old engines last year and left them sitting in a field all winter. I went to look at them today, and surprisingly one was a Briggs ZZ from the late 40's. This will make the Mighty Might as correct as I can get it.

Looks good, glad you're going to get MM home and give it a transplant.
