Hello folks of GT Talk! I have owned only a few GT's but none as much as my fondness for this one ;)

I traded my pressure washer and implements for this old gal. Definately not perfect but has serious charicter. The GT's frame was painted over and tag removed so I am not sure what year this rig is. I did get #s off the motor and it's a 16hp single #326437  0135-03  7411071. Came with Single stage snowblower/mower deck/soft cab. I am not going to restore to mint-near mint condition but I want a great Gt that can handle a little abuse. The stering needs serious attention, For some reason the lo range doesent work but the hi range works but almost like its in lo range. the pto light doesent work and the paint shotty as heck. I love this thing!!!! ;)

Looks real Heavy Duty!

63528.jpg This is a 1978 model. I would guess yours is a mid seventies.

According to last digits of serial number on the engine (7411071) it was made in November of 1974.  That would make your tractor a 1975 model.

Good to have another eastern Ontario member!  Welcome!

Well tank ya fer all the good words fellas ;) I am proud to own this old gal. Thank you A.C.T.  The guy I bought it from said it was an 80 but he also said it was 15 hp too lol. But I figure it's somewhere in that bracket. That trailer attatched to the Gt in the pics I can load pretty well and take it up hill no problem. I have a few more loads to do so I might have to take some video of this thing in action going uphill on grass loaded. Again, thank yall for the gravy welcome. I know Im going to need info throuought the good weather before the BAD weather starts. ;)

Welcome to the forum!

Gilson made one of my favorite tractors.

You need to ask Red Neenah out of Wisconsin about your tractor.  He is the Gilson guru.  He stays around the Gilson Yahoo group, I haven't seen him anywhere else.  He has microfiche of almost anything you want to know on the Gilsons.  If you give Red the engine info he may be able to match you a model number that way.  PM me your email and I will send it along to Red.
