Thinking about finding a snow plow for my JD140 H3. What models of tractors has the same plow that will fit a 140. Not easy to find plow, so if I knew other models will fit, it may help the search. And what is the model number for the plow?  Thanks, Noel

Also what are the holes in the rear fender deck are for??  Looks like it was done at the factory.  Never seen another one with the holes.

Blade should be a model 54.  Same one fits the closed frame models 120, 300, 316 (Kohler), 314, 312, 317, probably a couple others I'm forgetting.  Not sure about the holes though.  Never seen one either.

The 54 is the easiest and it fits the following tractors:

120/140

300/316K, 312/314/317, 316/318, 322/330/332.

Closed frame tractors = 120/140, 300/316K, 312/314/317

Open frame tractors = 316/318, 322/330/332

It is also possible to mount the 43 from the flat fender 110/112/200 series and then fab up a lift cylinder.  I don't know if it is possible to adapt the 100/200 series lift rod to work.

No clue on the holes, never seen anything that would go there except a pic of a homemade roll cage on one that was made into a forklift.

propane1:

Always wanred a front blade for my old 140. Actually cobbled together a center blade that raised and lowered with the mower straps.

If you do get the 54 blade, I have the OP manual and Parts Catalog for it scanned in that I could send you. Just let me know.

propane1,

Is that tractor by any chance a 1968 model year? Reason for asking is, it has the larger diameter steering wheel center cap. Just curious, that's all.
