The engine doesn't appear to be synchro-balanced, but it's close enough!  Looking good so far!  :thumbs:

It has a sticker on the shroud that says Synchro balanced, It is from a Simplicity 7016, I will only have a few mods one being the dip stick is just above the pan and not top of the block.

I can't see the back of the engine enough to see the rear housing that holds the rear balance gears then.  Good deal!  :thumbs:

My original 12 looks like that, but the 16hp from the 7016 doesn't?

If it doesn't have the rear gear case, then it's not the right engine shroud.  Doesn't truly matter that much though.

Been so busy with work and taking care of my dad I haven't had much free time. I continue to look and by parts though.

 

So hopefully I can get back to it soon.
