The 200 series followed the formula developed in the RFs then continued in the flat fendered 100 series. The late 100 series has more in common with the 200 series than the early 100 series. One of the things to watch for on the late 100 series is the 200 style pto control mounted on the dash. The 200 series was made from '75 until the mid 80's. The tractors are spec'd as follows:
200/208 - 8 HP
210 - 10 HP
212 - 12 HP
214 - 14 HP
216 - 16 HP
The attachments used on the flat-fender 100 series worked on the 200 series machines. As for appeal of the 200 v/s 300 series - I think it depends on the part of the country. There are a mess of the 200 series machines here in the midwest. The peerless 2300 and variator made for a durable and practical tractor.
